The Radio Voice of the Street project was born out of the Radio Christmas project, owned by Street Kids Direct, a UK registered charity working with local partners impacting the lives of children and young people living on the streets and at high risk.
.The online station of Radio Voz de la Calle is a project that is based at the Opp Center, a mentoring center in Guatemala City and is one of the ministries of the SKDGuatemala Foundation.The goal of the online station is to increase the participation of young people in activities that strengthen their opportunities to have a voice to effectively communicate who they are and what they care about.
The station will be managed by young people for young people.It is true that when young people are actively involved in a project like this, their connection with others in the project and with the local and wider community will not only be strengthened, but will also help build their self-confidence, develop their language skills .
